Biome’s FeatherEdge: Canadian Wind Power Technology Going Global

FeatherEdge™ is Biome’s patented serration technology. It addresses the sound made by wind turbines.

Having successfully tested FeatherEdge in a wind tunnel environment, we needed to install it on wind turbines to see what we could learn in a wind power operating environment. Partial funding from Natural Resources Canada opened up the opportunity to test FeatherEdge on-turbine in real, complex terrain at the Nergica Renewable Energy Research and Innovation test centre in Gaspé, Québec, Canada.

This valuable opportunity has propelled the commercialization of our Canadian-owned wind power technology, globally.
